Mobile SDK FAQs

Do you have SDK documentation I can review before proceeding with an evaluation license?

Yes. You can access our documentation by creating a Digimarc Print & Audio Module account. Once activated, navigate to the developer page where you will find links to the documentation for iOS and Android.

How does the 30 day free trial license key work? What happens after 30 days?

Create or login to your Digimarc Print & Audio Module account.

Once activated, navigate to the developer page.

Click on the free trial button and accept the terms and conditions.

Once accepted, you will be prompted to enter an app name for your app. Click "Create."

You will now have access to download the SDKs for iOS and Android.

We will generate a license key and you will be able to copy and paste it during your integration of the SDK into your app.

The evaluation license key comes with an automatic 30-day expiration date. Upon expiration, a message will appear in your app build, alerting you to the end of your trial. The detectors will no longer be functional. Please contact us to discuss obtaining a commercial license agreement.

Am I allowed to use the trial license key for a commercially available app?

No. The evaluation license key is intended for non-commercial purposes only and will automatically cease detection capabilities after 30 days.

How do I obtain a commercial license key?

What is the pricing for a commercial license?

There are a lot of different ways our software can be used and deployed. To learn about using the Digimarc Mobile SDK and the best pricing for your business, please contact us.

My app is currently using DM SDK 2.X. Are there API-breaking changes in Digimarc Mobile SDK 3.0?

Yes. The Digimarc Mobile SDK 3.0 includes API breaking changes to support iOS and Android OS platform changes and requirements, provide development efficiency improvements for developers integrating our SDK, along with a number of changes to better support existing use cases and exciting, new SDK features coming in future version releases. We have included a porting guide in our documentation to support an easy transition.

I have a commercial license agreement. Do I have to use a license key to update to DM SDK 3.0?

Yes. We have automatically generated a license key for the apps associated with your Digimarc Print & Audio Module account. Simply log into your account and navigate to the developer page. Download the SDK for iOS and Android. Click on the "Key" button associated with each app name. Copy and paste the key when you update from DM SDK 2.X to 3.0. We have included a porting guide in our documentation to help make the transition as seamless as possible.
