What is the difference between a “75 WPI SDK” and a “150 WPI SDK”?

10 August 2021

The resolution of a Digimarc watermark is defined in terms of "watermark elements per inch" or WPI. Resolutions of 75 WPI and 150 WPI are the most commonly supported. Digimarc does not offer separate Software Development Kits (SDK) for different Digimarc watermark resolutions. Instead, our enhancement and detection SDKs can be configured to support multiple watermark resolutions at a time or can be optimized for just one, depending on the application. As a result, some devices (e.g. Zebra MP6000, MP7000) only support one resolution at a time. Check with your hardware vendor to see what Digimarc resolution is supported for your application.
