Production artists, using Digimarc software, apply Digimarc Barcode to the digital artwork file prior to printing. The file is then printed using traditional processes with no special ink or treatments. For packaging, Digimarc Barcode is applied by a trained production artist to the digital file using Digimarc-enabled design software. To enhance a file with Digimarc Barcode, three assets are required: the color corrected print ready file, a completed print specifications form for the press environment, and the proofing profile (.ICC, .MX4, or .MXN) which is used on the press to print the file.
