10 April 2021
Possible Cause | Remedy |
Digimarc Barcode is printing too lightly and can't be seen by the scanner. |
- Increase the print contrast.
- Decrease the printing speed.
|
The scanner firmware doesn't support Digimarc Barcode. |
- Contact the scanner manufacturer/distributor and confirm the hardware is supported.
- If supported, request an update to the firmware that supports Digimarc Barcode.
|
The label format doesn't have enough unobstructed Digimarc Barcode. |
- Test the label format with less text, fewer design features, or a smaller font to create more space on the label.
- Test the score of the label with Digimarc Label Advisor.
- Refer to the Label Style Guide to ensure compliance.
|
The scanner is not enabled to read Digimarc Barcode. |
- Sometimes the scanner will have the supporting firmware for Digimarc Barcode, but the feature is not yet enabled.
- Contact scanner manufacturer/distributor for help enabling Digimarc Barcode.
|
The label stock color prevents Digimarc Barcode from being visible to the scanner. |
- White is the recommended label stock color.
- If using a color other than white, check the Label Style Guide to determine stock color compliance with Digimarc Barcode.
|
Digimarc Barcode is scaled or distorted. |
- Refer to the scale user guide for information on loading label stock. If the auto-peeler is not loaded correctly, Digimarc Barcode becomes distorted and can't be read by a scanner.
- Decrease the speed of the printer.
