Digimarc Barcode for Digital Images

Quick Start Guide:

  1. Download the Digimarc Barcode for Digital Images plug-in via Adobe Exchange at this link: https://exchange.adobe.com/creativecloud.details.12783.html
  2. Once downloaded, the plug-in will auto-install in Photoshop or, depending on your system configuration, you will need to drag and drop the contents of the folder into the following path on your hard drive:
    • Mac: Macintosh HD\Applications\Adobe Photoshop CC {YEAR}\Plug-ins\
    • PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC {YEAR}\Plug-ins
<Note: the year displayed in the file path will variable based on your installed version of Adobe Photoshop CC
  3. Restart Photoshop.
  4. To start enhancing, load an image into Photoshop and go to Filters > Digimarc > Embed Watermark
    • Tip: if the Digimarc filter is greyed-out, make sure the image you've loaded is in a supported color format. Using the Image > Mode menu, set the mode to RGB or CMYK Color and 8 Bits/Channel, and the Digimarc options should become active.
  5. On the screen that appears — click Personalize, and enter your account’s unique ID and PIN on the next screen in order to assure your images are enhanced with your information:
    • ID: xxxxxx
    • PIN: xx

Once you’ve got it setup, it’s as easy as Filter > Digimarc > Embed or Read any time you want to apply or read a watermark. Don’t forget to visit your Account Page to download our Best Practices Guide!
